From gas rice cooking to IH rice cooking, experience the high quality

In December 2020, Don Don-Rice's Kumamoto factory introduced Satake's "pressurized IH rice cooking line (120 lines)". Our previous gas continuous rice cooking line had become obsolete, and we were initially considering upgrading to a gas rice cooker, but after a presentation on Satake's "pressurized IH rice cooker," we decided to switch to IH rice cooking. became. When we actually brought the actual rice cooker to our Kumamoto factory and cooked it, we found that it had a grainy and chewy texture, and was praised for its superior quality to gas-cooked rice. President Uramoto also highly praised the rice, saying, "The taste of the rice when it cools down is clearly different from that of gas-cooked rice, and there is less uneven cooking and scorching." In addition, quality control, which had previously been managed manually, was now automated using PCs, which was also effective in terms of quality control.

Improving productivity and improving the working environment

Furthermore, there were many benefits other than quality. Compared to gas rice cooking, there is less waste heat, which improves the working environment, and the "one pot rice cooking method" enables high-mix, low-volume production, which improves productivity. In addition, Satake's unique packet dipping device eliminates the need for dipping in a pot, so President Uramoto praises its space-saving features, saying, "Compared to gas, the space is reduced by one-third." Regarding the support system, customers say, "We have a service center nearby (in Kumamoto City) and maintenance is quick.The 24-hour service provided by the customer support center is also reassuring."

Going forward, Dondon Rice will develop even more diverse products and expand its sales channels beyond Kyushu, while also considering new initiatives such as unmanned and labor-saving measures to address issues such as labor shortages.
